På grund av lite brist på motivation och brist på båt så händer det inte mycket nuförtiden, får se om det kommer igång när jag hittat en båt. Ser dock att några är inloggade ibland så jag får väl försöka göra ett ryck och uppdatera lite.
Nytt rekord av Thomas Couvile

Thomas satte på morgonen nytt singlehand rekord över atlanten, 5 dagar, 19 timmar, 29 minuter och 20 sekunder lyder det nya rekordet.
Spirit of Titan satsar på Blå Bandet

Thomas Couville startar idag för nytt rekord över Atlanten

Han skall försöka slå Francis Joyons rekord på 6 dagar, 4 timmar, 1 minut and 37 sekunder från juli 2005 på IDEC 1.

Nu har seglingsrekord varit uppe i ett år!
31 medlemmar, 11 fartrekord, 9 banrekord och 17 banor blev det under första året.
Ser fram emot en ny säsong med fler rekord, har redan satt nytt rekord runt Ridön i helgen i strålande sol och fina vindar.
New Round Gotland Midwinter Challenge record

With the "Playing for Success" Seacart 30, previously owned by Pete Goss did the new German owner Thomas Reinke and his crew of three set a new record time around the Round Gotland Midwinter Challenge (RGMC) course.
The new record of 27 hours, 26 minutes and 39 seconds is 32 minutes better than the old record from last winter, also set with a Seacart 30.
The record window is only opened from first of December until end of February and it is the man behind the Seacart 30, Calle Hennix who is keeping this crazy record hunt alive.

popeyez7 sent a link to a video of this cool kite powered catamaran on his MySpace site. It could mabye give a hint of what the Parlier cat will look like! Crazy but really cool.

Hydroplaneur with kite

Yves Parlier sent out a picure of the Hydroplaneur without sails but attached to a huge kite in his last newsletter!
This could be an interesting continuation of this previous 24 hour recod holder from France.
So far has no real attemps on putting kites on boats been succesful, mabye because of the problem of getting the kite up and back down again. The kitesurfers have however made huge leaps forward with their kites and extensive research is ongoing for pulling ships across the oceans.
So now is it mabye time for some record-runs with kites!
